I really love the glow and color of the band's sound in this year specifically with Tiger soaring and Jerry's voice in fine form and Phil doing what Phil does. Not that the Big Mac was a bad show, it was an alternate location from Red Rocks, due to weather, and had a strong showing by the Denver Police. The deadheads didn't appreciate that much, and there was not a Red Rocks show in 1980, as had been planned, and Red Rocks Park was also under the jurisdiction of the Denver Police. <BR/>That was the story we heard anyway, but true or not, it was more for the good anyway, as Folsom Field holds more people than Red RocksRevJimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10197393011402035296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-387936856129721233.post-75298438051305625072008-08-11T21:07:00.000-05:002008-08-11T21:07:00.000-05:00You really helped me with this one. I knew I saw Grateful Dead at Folsom Field, but I couldn't remember when, and I knew I had heard them play the Uncle John's Band sandwich with Playin' sometime, and somewhere, and I was searching the archives for that. Thank you for helping me recover some memories.RevJimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10197393011402035296noreply@blogger.com
